The Ai has driven the US into a massive economic depression, what this horrible old man in DC calls a "a plus plus plus plus economy." Its good for him because he steals everyone's money. For working people we have no social safety net here. We have this "welfare to work" system which assumes the US always has jobs, but today it does not. Rather than fix it, old ugly man decides to deny people healthcare and food if they cannot find a job, while AI and robotics are eating the jobs market. Horror used to be a genre but in the US horror is every day life.
